My very first post here must begin with some thank you's: To Sam, for letting me spend the time and money getting things up and running. To Grant, for being patient with me and not complaining too much when we stay outside too long and you get tired and hot and a wee pink from too much sun. And, most importantly, to God for his kind and abundant provision.
Here's what we've got so far this year...
Went outside this morning to check for any ripening tomatoes (none so far - lotsa green ones though) and almost wet myself when I found this. My very first muskmelon!!!
And here's a wee-baby one.
Coddling the melons :o)
Black Beauty Eggplant almost ready to pick.
Here are my sprawling cantaloupe vines. There were dreams and half plans for trellising - hence the poles in the ground - and, yet, here they are...sprawling.
A wee-baby Fajita Bell Pepper..
An eggplant flower...
And finally, probably one of my favorite things about this year's garden:
"fairy spindles" on the melon vines.
